Such information is treated as confidential and is handled in accordance with UK data protection law and my professional and ethical responsibilities.

Information is collected and used only where necessary for providing my services, maintaining appropriate professional records, managing appointments and payments, and meeting legal, professional or regulatory requirements.

Information about patients that is shared with me in the course of supervision or consultation is also confidential. There are limited circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be breached, such as where there is a serious concern about someone's safety, where disclosure is required by law, or where there is a professional obligation to do so. Where possible and appropriate, I will discuss this with you beforehand.
